She was born in Stromstad, Sweden on July 4, 1922 to the late Anna and Olof Carlson. Their family immigrated to the US when Lilly was two years old and lived in Springfield Gardens on Long Island. When Ernie retired in 1989 they moved to Hurley, NY. Lilly became very active in Christian Women's Club, where she served on the board as prayer advisor for a number of years. She made long lasting friends there as well as at the church they attended, Grace Bible Fellowship in Rhinebeck, NY. Lilly became "famous" for her Swedish spritz cookies.

Lilly has been living at the Baptist Home for two years. There she enjoyed going to the church services that were given by the Baptist Church and Grace Fellowship. She loved to receive all the smiles and greetings from everyone. We thank the dear ones there that took such tender care of Lilly.

Decker and her husband Gary of Hurley, Paul Bergwall and his wife Deborah of Honeoye Falls, NY, grandchildren, Stephen Decker and his wife Brenda of Valdese, NC, William Decker and his wife Karen of Kingston, Jonathan Decker and his wife Laura of Rhinebeck, Seth Decker and his wife Julie of Woodstock, Hannah Bergwall of Rochester, Joshua Bergwall of Rochester, 8 great grandchildren, Caleb, Dana, Elizabeth, Madelyn, Aiden, Olivia, Garrett and Luke Decker, as well as many nieces and nephews. "Dear Carol, Paul and family So sorry to hear about moms passing. Both of your parents were such good people. I always remember all the times we went to the East Meadow house for family get togethers and your mom did make the best sprits I ever had. Heaven is a little more yellow and blue with the addition of another Swede. All our love Susan and Jeannette"
