Virginia "Ginger" W. Hoveman, 86, Woodstock, NY, died peacefully at her home on December 27, 2011. She was born October 11, 1925 in White Plains, to the late William and Catherine Ames Waters. She was married for 52 years to Paul G. Hoveman, M.D., who passed away on December 29, 2000.
Virginia was an active member of the Old Dutch Reformed Church and a Sunday school teacher. She served on the Board of Directors of the Children's Home and the Hudson Valley Senior Residence, and had been active with both the Benedictine and Kingston Hospitals Auxiliaries.
She is survived by her daughters: Virginia A. Hoveman and her life partner Norman Roth of Manlius, NY; Victoria B. Seeger and her husband Geoffrey L. Seeger of Kingston, NY; Claudia Demmler Karmann and her husband Richard B. Karmann DMD of Newton, NJ; Katherine P. Konow and her husband Thomas R. Konow of Hudson NY; grandchildren: Stefanie Roth Cassel and her husband David Cassel; Michelle Roth; Douglas Roth; SSG Benjamin D. Seeger and his wife Andrea E. Seeger; Gabrielle A. Figueroa; Paul L. Figueroa; Jacob P. Figueroa; Christine Konow; Audrey Konow; great-grandchildren; Rachel Grace Seeger; Charlotte Faith Seeger; Olivia Cassel; Amelia Cassel and Christopher A. Konow.
Entrusted to the care of A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401; where a memorial service will be held on January 14th at 1:00 pm. Visitation for friends and family will begin at 12:00 pm. Interment will be at a later date in private.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Benedictine Hospital Health Foundation, 105 Mary's Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401.
