Betty Montgomery, 93, of Stone Ridge, passed peacefully on Thursday evening, November 15, 2012 at the Kingston Hospital. She was born April 26, 1919 in New London, Ohio, the daughter of the late Peter and Marie DeHartog Dolk. She had lived in Tioga Center, NY and Waverly, NY then moved to Stone Ridge in 1970.
She was predeceased by her husband Charles Lewis Montgomery; he died on September 2, 1987, her sisters Marie Goodrich, Helen Cook and Wilma Roarke and a brother John A. "Tony" Dolk.
Betty is survived by her loving family, her daughter, Sylvia Herrington of Stone Ridge, grandchildren Scott Herrington and his wife Yvonne and their children Chelsea and Charles of Hurley, Kim Ellen Herrington of Kingston and Joanna Herrington and her husband Michael Cuddire and their daughter Audrey of Harriman, NY
Entrusted to the care of Eric Keyser, Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston. Friends may call on Monday from 1 - 3 pm. The service will at 3 pm, Rev. Paul Benes, officiating. Burial will be private in Fairview Cemetery.
