"John, I hardly knew the quiet you in high school, but I sure loved the outgoing, fun-loving, laugh-a-minute you who greeted me at our 40th reunion, and who continued to be my friend ever since. It was so good to finally see you as you. But now you're quiet again, your vibrancy has been stilled, and the laughs are in the past. All that I'm left with are memories of a man who enriched the world merely by being here. I'm so sorry that now I can only miss you instead of enjoy you. Rest in peace, Dear John. Rob"
"John will fondly be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor. He was a very sensitive and caring man who had the ability to light a room. John's deep devotion to the KHS Class of l963 was evident by his enthusiastic willingness and hard work serving on the class reunion committee. John will be extremely missed as a classmate and most of all as a true friend. May God's peace be with you."
