Robert ''Bob'' D'Angelo, 56 of Stone Ridge, passed peacefully on Tuesday January 1, 2013 at the Benedictine Hospital surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with leukemia. He was born December 12, 1956 in Ossining, NY, the son of the late John "Red" and Angelina "Angie" D'Angelo. Bob was the husband of Patti D'Angelo; they were happily married on May 15, 1976 in Bedford Hills, NY. He was a graduate of Ossining High School, class of 1975. After high school, he served in the US Navy from 1975 to 1979. He then attended Ulster County Community College earning his Associates Degree in Applied Science. Graduating in the top 5 of his class, Bob was then offered a position at IBM as a customer service representative. Bob retired as Team Leader, Systems Services Representative, IBM Poughkeepsie, after 30 years of service in December 2012. He was a member of the Olivebridge United Methodist Church, serving as a Trustee of the church and an active volunteer. His favorite pastimes included golfing, bowling, rooting for the NY Giants, being outdoors, and doing projects around the house. But, he was happiest just spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife Patti, he is survived by his sons Jason D'Angelo and Evan D'Angelo both of Stone Ridge, a sister and brother of North Ft. Myers, FL, Anne Papp and John D'Angelo, and brothers Tony and Billy D'Angelo and Billy's wife Amy all of Tamarac, FL. Bob also leaves behind many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. "Bob?s loss I know will be felt by many, but none more than his wife of 36 years. Their relationship was one of true love and friendship. Bob was a man full of kindness and generosity and always made me feel welcome, although he never did like my selections in books. Any time I loaned them to Patti they made her cry. My heartfelt prayers of love and strength go to all of you he leaves behind.
