Tina and Peter Siragusa wrote on Mar 28, 2013:

"We are so deeply heart broken for your loss. The loss of a mother to her children is profound, and the loss of a daughter leaves a pain that has no words for a mother (Aunt Amalia) or father (Uncle Sal) . My father adored Maria, and I picture him holding her and carrying her in to find Grandma and Grandpa, and all the aunts and uncles who have preceded us so that they can share in the feast before them. Our hearts are with you all. May the comfort of the Lord's embrace hold you up and carry you. We have arranged a mass for Maria on May 9th at 5:30pm for the the Feast of the Ascension at St. Joseph's Church in Kingston. Luke 20:36: "For they cannot die anymore, because they are equal to angels and are sons [daughters] of God, being sons [daughters] of the resurrection." Maria was an angel on earth. We all know that for sure, and may you know she is shining even brighter watching over the family she adored, her children, her parents, her brother and sisters, nieces and nephews, and her students. "

Sue and Joe Feeks wrote on Mar 28, 2013:

"Maria had a strong and loving family who pulled together to see her through all of life's difficult challenges. That is a blessing too few can claim. We would watch from across the street as she patiently, dutifully and later, quite courageously, brought her children to her parents' house in the morning. Her devotion to and love for her children is surely but one beautiful legacy she leaves behind. "

"I moved from Kingston when I was young and spent many summers there with my beautiful family. Maria was very young but I remember her to be such a happy child. Years later with coming up for weddings, I met Maria as a young adult, still a bright and shining star. She's dancing in heaven now. Aunt Amalia, Uncle Sal, my cousins: I know His Love will envelope you all, and I know He will have Maria give you special signs that she is doing wonderfully!! I am with you all, and I love you all, more than these words can convey. My family also sends their love. "
