February 13, 1925 - May 24, 2017

Nancy was born February 13, 1925 and was a lifelong resident of Seattle where she died May 24, 2017 at the age of 92. Her husband Jennings of nearly 70 years held her hand as she passed at Northwest Hospital.

Nancy was the daughter of Emily and Sherman Ward Bushnell, and was preceded in death by her parents and older sister Jane Johnson.

Nancy was a graduate of Queen Anne High School where she was the president of the Girls Club. She graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Sociology and was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.

On August 26, 1947 she married Jennings M Hanseth in Seattle. They lived in Boston while he obtained his MBA from Harvard Business School after which they returned to Seattle to raise their family. Nancy was an active volunteer with Ryther, and an avid bridge player and reader.

Nancy and Jennings had many memorable trips to Europe, Canada and Alaska and enjoyed boating, fishing, bird hunting and golf. They had homes in Palm Desert and on Whidbey Island, and were members of the Seattle, Desert Island, and Useless Bay Golf and Country Clubs.

Nancy is survived by her husband Jennings, her brother Bud Bushnell of Seattle and sister Jerrie Carlson of Poulsbo; her children Karen Leland (Doug) of Gig Harbor, Jay Hanseth (Paulette Peterson) of Bainbridge Island, and Jo Anne Hanseth of Seattle, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

A memorial service is planned for later this summer. Prayers and cards for Jennings would be most appreciated.
