Mr. Steven L. Bliss, 62, of Burlington died Saturday, June 17, 2017, at Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.
Born September 8, 1954, in Anchorage, Alaska, he was the son of Donald E. and Loretta C. Underwood Bliss. On May 2, 1998 he married Linda M. Ennis in Burlington.
Mr. Bliss graduated from Burlington High School in 1972 and was a truck driver for 40 years owning Marlee Transport.
Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing, tinkering, and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Bliss of Burlington; two sons, Dusty Lee Bliss of Corpus Christi, TX and Denny Alan Bliss of Crawfordville, IN; two stepdaughters, Shanda Ptacek of Clinton, IA and Laura Steffensmeier of Stronghurst, IL; two grandsons, four step grandchildren, four step greatgrandchildren; and one brother, Mike Bliss of Burlington.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be no formal visitation or service. Inurnment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery at a later date.
Cremation has been entrusted to Lunning Chapel.

"Steve was one of my favorite cousins. The family used to come visit us in WI when the boys were little and I was a tomboy. We played cars, rolling them down the big hill or house Sat up on, we played in creeks and mud and I always cried when they left! I'm sorry I can't be there too say , not good bye but, see ya later.
