In loving memory of

Michael Clark
September 5, 1963 - June 17, 2017

Michael Clark, of Racine, died peacefully after a brief illness Saturday, June 17, 2017, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee surrounded by his family. He was 53 years old. He was born on September 5, 1963, in Racine, a son of Edwin and Rita (Mach) Clark.

Mike attended Racine Horlick High School and obtained his High School Diploma from Gateway Technical College in 1982. He was a lifelong Racine resident.

At a young age Mike was critically injured in a traffic accident resulting in permanent disabilities. His family of Packer fans always believed that brain injuries suffered then was the reason he was such a diehard Chicago Bears fan - because what other reason could there be? Obviously, his love for the Bears created many memories for his family. We will miss his phone calls when the Bears won giving us grief. We love you Mike and will miss you greatly.

Survivors include his mother Dorothy Clark; grandmother Evelyn Beth; two sisters, Anna (Sam) Bort, Debbie Witman and fiance Tom; seven brothers, Edwin (Xueping) Clark, Ron Clark and finace Jill, Allen (Susan) Clark, Joseph (Sherri) Clark, David (Kim) Clark, Robert Grant, David (Tiffany) Grant; He was a great "Uncle Mikey" to 29 nieces and nephews and 33 great-nieces and nephews; they all loved their most interesting and fun uncle.

He was preceded in death by his father Edwin Clark; his mother Rita Clark-Jackson; and a brother-in-law Daniel Witman.

The funeral Mass will be held on Friday June 23, 2017, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Pickerel with Rev. Dave Zimmerman officiating. Burial will take place in St. Mary Cemetery.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of services on Friday at the church.

A memorial gathering will be held at a later date in Racine.

He will always be remembered for his very distinctive laugh. Mike was a friend to many and always ready for a party, one of his favorite sayings was "your high is my high."

"Steven.anderson@rusd.org. My condolence to the Clark family from Rosalind Ave. I recall well that Saturday afternoon when "Mickey" was struck by an automobile on Durand and Drexel Ave. It was an overcast Spring day, and all of us were filled with anxiety of whether or not "Mickey" would make it or not. I do remember for just a little kid he had a resilient spirit. And reading the obituary this morning, evidently that spirit carried on through his adult life."

"Uncle Mikey lived his life unapologetically, and did what made him happy. He had a heart of gold. Anytime I needed him he was always there for me, he looked out for so many people and wasn't rich, but would go without just to make sure his neighbors had a meal. He let many people into his home just so they wouldn't be homeless. To me he was a hero. Even with all the trials in his life he smiled throughout it all, and his laugh is one nobody will ever forget. I love you so much, and you will be missed. Love always your niece, Chrissy "
