Randolph Stonewall Cook
February 16, 1962 - July 5, 2017

Randolph Stonewall Cook, aged 55, suddenly died July 5, 2017 at Swedish Medical Center hospital in Edmonds, Washington. His nickname was "Stoney", and he was a retired construction/sewer maintenance technician, and mechanic for the city of Seattle. He loved visiting his friends at The Cactus Moon Saloon in Everett on two Wednesdays every month; he loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, hiking, and cooking. His loving nature, wit and humor were a joyous comfort to any who were within his life. He barbequed almost every weekend; his grilled chicken was mouth-watering; his smoked salmon, baked bread, soups, steaks, and pot-roasts were legendary in flavor, of which his family and friends always anticipated his culinary prowess. He loved good country music with an occasional Molly Hatchet, AC/DC, Chris Stapleton, and gospel albums for balance. His favorite Christian songs were "The Old Rugged Cross", "What a Friend We Have in Jesus", and "Garden of Gethsemane" that his mother used to sing. He loved his family & friends with a fierce love and devotion, always there with advice and a warm welcome, always sharing whatever he had. Due to his bouts with cancer, he had no children of his own or wife; however, children, animals, and babies loved Uncle Stone. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Betty Cook, formerly of Horse Branch, Kentucky; & his brother-in-law, KD Leach, formerly of Hartford, Kentucky; Stoney is survived by his two sisters, Karen Leach-Gregory (widow) and her son, Jarrod Leach, of Mukilteo, Washington; Laurie Kirby (Brian) of Olaton, Kentucky, and their children, Ryan (Quinn) Kirby, Kyle Kirby, and Sarah Kirby of Riverside, California; his brother, Daniel (Karen Mulvey) Himick of Marshfield, Massachusetts, & Dan and Christine Katich Himick's children: Daniel (Robyn) Himick & their daughters, Kara & Jillian of Massachusetts; Jason (Jenni) Himick of Denver, Colorado. Per Mr. Cook's wishes, he will be cremated by Cascade Memorial of Bellevue, Washington, and his ashes spread on the farm in Kentucky where he was so happy as a child.
