"I just found this obituary on Jan 25, 2023. A bunch of us who attended Wurlitzer Elementary School were comparing mites and all thought Miss Miller was our favorite teacher. What a beautiful legacy! ? Miss Miller was my all-time favorite teacher in Fifth Grade at Wurlitzer Elementary School in North Tonawanda, NY. We stayed in touch until about eight years ago, when I did not get a return Christmas card. I figured something happened to my Dear Friend, perhaps that is when she entered the nursing home in Florida. I am so happy to find out she lived to be 101 as she was the sweetest and most gentle soul you could ever want for a friend, a teacher. It was in her class that we experienced the unforgettable day when President John F. Kennedy was shot. She handled everything so beautifully and was so calming when we were all scared as fifth graders. She was a truly special gift from God, and I hope to get to see her again one day. Thoughts and prayers to the family, with fond memories of a very special school year and a lifelong friendship so many, many years ago, love, LouAnn (Zimmerman) Rossi, 794 Park Ave., No. Tonawanda, NY 14120. ?
