William Jordan
March 2, 1930 - July 21, 2017

William Jordan, of Antigo, died Friday, July 21, 2017 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was 87 years old. He was born on March 2, 1930, in Antigo, a son of Louis and Myme (O'Donnell) Jordan. He married Janis Jones on October 20, 1956, at St. John Catholic Church, Antigo. She preceded him in death on November 23, 2009.

He attended St. John parochial school and graduated from Antigo High School with the class of 1948.

Bill was a longtime employee of the Chicago Northwestern Railroad. He worked as a switchman and retired in 1991 after 41 years with the railroad.

In retirement he stayed active volunteering with Meals on Wheels and the Salvation Army.

He was a member of the United Transportation Union, Antigo Rails, the Msgr. Conrad Saile Knights of Columbus Council 1002 - Antigo and SS Mary and Hyacinth Catholic Church.

He enjoyed time with his family, fishing, partridge hunting, attending Antigo High School sporting events, gardening and playing cards.

Survivors include two sons, James (Connie) Jordan of Green Bay, Timothy Jordan of Antigo; two daughters, Julie and Jennifer Jordan both of Antigo; two grandchildren, Jackson and Claire Jordan; two special family friends, Sherri Hunter and Terri Tourtillott.

In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by three sisters, Lorraine, Luella and Lanore; two brothers, James and Donald.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. David Schmidt officiating.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.

The Knights of Columbus will recite the rosary at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
