Richard "Dick" Joseph Collins
November 4, 1942 - July 31, 2017

Mr. Richard "Dick" Joseph Collins, 74 of Burlington died at 11:59 a.m. Monday, July 31, 2017, at Great River Medical Center.
Born November 4, 1942 in Bremerton, Washington, he was the son of Joseph R. and Yvonne I. (Widdicombe) Collins. On March 24, 1962 he married Anita J. Busby in Livingston, Montana.
Mr. Collins was an Army Reserve veteran.
The first year he and Anita were married he worked at Yellowstone National Park. He went on to work for Burlington Northern Railroad and retired as a foreman in 2007 after 30 years of service. He and his family moved to Burlington in 1980.
Mr. Collins was a member of the Alzheimer's Association. He volunteered delivering meals for Milestones and meals at Autumn Heights. He was an avid bowler and golfer, and enjoyed camping, fishing, and boating. He loved to dance, play with his grandkids, and take Izzy for walks.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Anita Collins of Burlington; three daughters, Patty (Todd) Olson of Burlington, Debbie Rokosz of West Burlington and Kristy (Diego) Blanco of Burlington; eight grandchildren, Matt and Rachael Olson, Jill (Rickey) and Kyle Rokosz, and Reece, Allisha, Elisabeth and Lexi Blanco; one great granddaughter, Madison; two sisters, Judie (Bob) Duffner of Harlowton, Montana and Shirley Kreiger of Livingston, Montana; one brother, Frank Collins of Harlowton, Montana; and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Pat.
Friends may call from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Thursday, August 3rd, at Lunning Chapel
The funeral for Mr. Collins will be 11 a.m. Friday, August 4th, at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Randy Gearhart officiating. Entombment will be in Burlington Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Alzheimer's Association.
