Harry Glenn Schrader
June 6, 1934 - August 2, 2017

Harry Glenn Schrader, 83, of rural Burlington died at 9:50 p.m. Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.
Born June 6, 1934 in Wever, he was the son of Glenn and Nora (Brandt) Schrader. On April 23, 1960 he married Joyce Elaine Walker at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.
Harry was a 1951 graduate of Huron High School. He started farming in 1957 and farmed for 46 years.
Harry was a member of Kingston United Methodist Church where he also served as a Trustee. He was also a member of Farm Bureau, Drainage District, and the Eagles Lodge. He loved card games - especially euchre and pitch, John Deere tractors, tinkering in his shop, cracking nuts, salvaging, and traveling.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Joyce Elaine Schrader of rural Burlington; one daughter, Sheila (Bryon) Keltner of Wapello; son, Craig (Julie) Schrader of Story City; four grandchildren, Cole Schrader and Allison Schrader of Story City and Bryar Keltner and Kolby Keltner of Wapello; one step granddaughter, Savannah (Isaac) Freier of Ellsworth, Wisconsin; and two step great grandchildren, Liliana and Isaiah.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Michael "Mike" Scott Schrader; three brothers, Kenneth, James and William; and one sister, Dorothy Kirby.
The family will receive friends from 3 until 6 p.m. Sunday, August 6th, at Lunning Chapel.
The funeral service for Harry will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 7th, at Lunning Chapel with Pastors Tom Zeleny and Earlene Lekwa officiating. Interment will be in North Walker Cemetery, rural Burlington.
Memorials have been established for Kingston United Methodist Church, Great River Hospice House and St. Jude Children's Hospital.
