B. Rodger Lodholz

Bernard "Rodger" Lodholz,of Deerbrook, died Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at his home under the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice. He was 84 years old. He was born on June 4, 1933 in Kempster, a son of the late Frank and Pearl (Quick) Lodholz. He married Ester (Viola) Korek on May 31, 2000 at Skagway, Alaska. She survives.

He attended Elcho High School.

Mr. Lodholz owned Brinlee Construction and Midwest Siding Supply Company retiring in 1982.

He was the town Chairman for the township of Upham 1997-2009. While he was town Chairman a new town hall was built, the land was purchased for the transfer sight and the post office remained open in Summit Lake.

He played baseball for Summit Lake baseball league. He loved to hunt, fish and ride four wheeler and enjoyed taking neighbors, friends and family on rides. He was a member Holy Family Catholic Church in Elcho.

In addition to his wife he is survived by five sons, Robert Lodholz, Rick Lodholz, Randy (Colleen) Lodholz, Steve (Kelly) Lodholz, David (Trish) Lodholz; a daughter, Julie (Ken) Reitz; a daughter-in-law, Sandy Lodholz; a brother, Lonnie (Loretta) Lodholz and step-son, Bob Morrison. He is also survived by step-children, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.

He was preceded in death by a son, Tim Lodholz; brother, Frank Lodholz, Jr. and a sister, Lorraine Orban.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Reverend David Zimmerman officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
