Keith Lynn Kunde, 34, of East Dubuque, Illinois and formerly of the Maquoketa area, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, from injuries received in a motorcycle accident in Dubuque County.
A gathering of family and friends celebrating Keith's life will be held from 3 to 7 P.M. on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at the Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Cremation rites will be accorded, and burial will be at a later date.
Keith Lynn Kunde was born on August 15, 1983 in Maquoketa, Iowa, to Allen and Julie (Lebo) Kunde. He spent his early years in Jackson County, received his GED and later attended Scott Community College earning a Painting Certificate. He married Sandra Sue "Sanny" Bertram on July 4, 2014 in DeWitt, Iowa.
Keith was a hard worker and had been employed as a carpenter his whole life. He had worked construction for Nienke Services for six years and currently was working for Jared Ness Construction.
Above all things, Keith loved his family. He liked fast cars and motorcycles, movies, gaming and playing with the kids. Everything he did was for and with his kids in mind.
Those left to honor Keith's memory include his wife, Sandra "Sanny" Kunde of East Dubuque, IL; children, Braydon, Quinton, Skyelynn and Haydann Kunde at home, and Tiawna LaFrenz of Maquoketa, IA; his mother and step-father, Julie and David Keil of Oxford Junction, IA; his father and step-mother, Allen and Carol Kunde of DeWitt, IA; brothers, Karl (Deirdre) Kunde of Maquoketa, IA, Kevin (Kayla) Kunde of Andrew, IA, and Kyle Kunde of Dubuque, IA; sisters, Chanelle (Garrett) McGinitty of Delmar, IA and Chelsea Kunde of DeWitt, IA; step-siblings, Danielle (Matt) Rieck of Maquoketa, IA, Dana (Justin) Keil of Cedar Rapids, IA, Darcy (Kevin Scott) Berggren of Charlotte, IA, and Melissa (Dan) Davis of Maquoketa, IA; maternal grandparents, Ed and Loretta Lebo of WA; paternal grandmother Marlene Vohringer of Maquoketa, IA; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Brenda and Dean Quale of Platteville, WI; and many more relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Earl and Elizabeth Kunde, and Karl Vohringer.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a Keith L. Kunde memorial fund has been established.
