"Dear Braasch family,I am so sorry to learn about your mother. She was a kind and spunky woman. I was so delighted to accidentally connect with her when we moved to your old farm two years ago. It was so much fun to hear her memories of raising her family on the farm. I think of her often because when I am working in the garden, or canning tomatoes, or picking peonies, or admiring the trees, or listening to the windmill moan, I usually recall a little anecdote she told me about that. My condolences on the loss of your mom."

"Jan and I want to exend our deepest sympathies to Karen and the rest of the family. I remember playing cards with Karen and her mom until late into the hight on several occasions. Mrs. Braasch (I always called her Karen's mom) used to say playing cards just gave your hands something to do while you were talking.I really don't remember who won but considering my usual outlandish bidding, it probably wasn't me. God's blessings to all at this time of grief."
