In loving memory of

Jason Mark Cerri
January 20, 1975 - July 7, 2010

Jason M. Cerri, 35, of Byron, MN, died Wednesday, July 7, 2010. Jason Mark Cerri was born January 20, 1975 in Springfield, MA to Reno and Judi (Boyer) Cerri, Jr. He grew up in East Longmeadow, MA and attended EL Schools until his sophmore year. He attended Bethany Assembly of God Church, Agawan, MA, and was an avid Royal Ranger and loved the Youth Group there. In 1990, Jason moved to Byron with his family. He attended Rochester Assembly of God Church and was active in the youth group and as a LT Commander in the Royal Rangers. He graduated from Byron High School in 1993 and lettered in football and basketball. He attended Evangel College in Springfield, MO for two years. He married Petrine Kerkowski on April 6, 2003, and they later divorced. He started and ran his own business, All Star Underground. He was know for his work with a no nonsense attitude and a keen eye for quality work.Jason loved everything outdoors: fishing, camping, hiking, hunting, especially his newest adventure of bear hunting with his buddy Jason R. He harvested his biggest buck ever this past fall, a 170+ class 11 point buck, which gave him great pleasure. But his fondest love was his little boy, Dominic. They were inseperable and Dominic was building the same loves for the outdoors that his dad had. Everywhere Jason would go, Dominic was close behind, asking questions, always wondering why. And Jason was always there to patiently provide the best answer he could.Jason was known by all as a good friend, he was always willing to help. And many knew that and called on him often for whatever the need.Jason will be sorely missed by his parents, Reno and Judi Cerri, Jr. of Byron; his sister and brother-in-law, Jennie and Jason Ochocki of Byron; his three nephews, Jake, Dylan, and Ryan Ochocki; his niece, Joey (JoJo) Ockocki; his grandparents, Reno and Vera Cerri, Sr. of Suffield, CT; cousins, uncle and aunts, and many many friends; but most of all, by his son, Dominic. Jason Loved the Lord with all his heart, he is in the presence of Jesus with no more suffering or pain.A funeral service will be Monday, July 12, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. the Assembly of God Church, 4240 - 18th Ave NW, Rochester. Burial will be in Byron Cemetery. A visitation will be from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 11, 2010 at the church and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Dominic Cerri Education Fund at Think Mutual Bank, PO Box 7437, Rochester, MN 55903-9894.

"Cherish each day like it's your last, because you never know which one it will be. I had the privilege of working with Jason and experiencing his eye for quality work. He really had a knack for keeping employees and contractors on their toes and didn't accept anything less than their best work. His love for his son was evident in his candor amongst the guys at work; always a favorite subject of his and never afraid to show his soft side when talking about him. Please accept our condolences to Jason's family on your loss. God bless you."
