Dale A. Morris, 70, died Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Seasons Hospice in Rochester, MN. Dale was born on March 18, 1940 in Dodge Center, MN to Alfred and Harriet (Andrist) Morris. He grew up in the Kasson, MN area, graduating from Kasson-Mantorville High School. Dale farmed with his parents and later with his wife, Shelda Jacobson, whom he married in 1964. They had 2 sons, Galen and DeLane, and later divorced. In 1965, he worked as a maintenance person and later came to be an owner of the Octopus Car Wash at the Crossroads in Rochester. He married Beverly Kriehn (Garrison) in 1990 in Las Vegas. About that time, Dale started Dependable Lawn Care and remained in that business until his illness prevented him from working. Dale and Beverly worked together in the lawn care until her death in October of 2008.Upon his diagnosis of lung cancer in March of 2009, Dale retired from his business, but enjoyed spending time with his sons and their families. Dale enjoyed being around people and working in his businesses, NASCAR racing and Twins baseball games, and always had a story or joke to tell.A heartfelt note of thanks to Mayo Hospice, Seasons Hospice and Comfort Home Health Care for their assistance in helping us care for Dale.Dale is survived by 2 sons, Galen (Peggy) Morris of Byron, MN and DeLane (Beth) Morris of Rochester and their mother, Shelda (Alan) Storm of Dover, MN; 4 grandchildren, Jolene, Shawna, Brady, and Cody; 2 sisters, Alyce (Chuck) Graham and Donna (Leon) Blecher, both in Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Beverly.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at the Assembly of God Church in Rochester, MN.
