"So saddened to hear of Irene's passing. I am belated as I just found out of this news. I knew Irene from Madonna Towers, where we worked together in the early 80's. Irene was a dear friend to me when I was attending RCC and working at the nursing home. Myself, Irene and another dear friend Agnes would see movies together and go out to eat. They were like my older sisters. Irene was very talkative and loved to shop. I loved to visit Irene when she lived in her little house on Salem road long ago....Irene was a sweet lady. She always was so well kept and dressed so nicely. She valued her church and her friends. God Bless Irene."

Rochester- A Celebration of Life for Irene Maye Frederick, 87 will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 A.M. Burial will be at Oronoco Cemetery, Oronoco,MN. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. Irene died on November 29th 2010 at Golden Living Center East in Rochester.Irene was born May 25, 1923 in the Rochester Area to Arthur and Valera Frederick. Irene lived her entire life in the Rochester area. During her adult life, she took care of her father, worked at Lasker's Jewelry, and as a nursing assistant. She also served as a volunteer at the Mayo Clinic. In addition, she loved to travel. She leaves behind her special cat, Cuddles.
