ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA: Joseph P. Chim, 85, died at his daughter's home in Rochester on Saturday, December 11, 2010. Joseph was born on September 25, 1925 in Battambang, Cambodia. He was a life-long post office employee in Battambang, Cambodia. He moved to the United States in 1992 and lived with his children in Minneapolis and Rochester Minnesota and Lowell Massachusetts. Joseph loved fishing the most followed by hunting, metal and wood working and playing Chinese card games with his grandchildren. Joseph is survived by his wife Nen Ngoun and his children; a son Sokhonn Chim, Lowell, MA, his daughter, Ara Chim Simone, Johnson City, TN, his son, Chamroeun Chim, Murrieta, CA, his son, Vichea Chim, Battambang, Cambodia, a daughter, Ponloeu Chim, Rochester, MN, a daughter, Bopha Chim, Anoka, MN, a son Nimol Chim, Battambong, Cambodia, and a daughter, Mondol Chim, Oronoco, MN. He was preceded in death by a son, Lamun Chim, a daughter, Sakhon Chim, three brothers, and two sisters. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church (5455 50th Avenue NW in Rochester). Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church.
