ROCHESTER, MINN: Melvin M. "Mel" Binder, 58, died at his daughter's home in Rochester on Thursday, December 23, 2010.Melvin Myron Binder was born February 13, 1952 in Plainview, MN to Walter and Dorothy (Becker) Binder. Mel graduated from Plainview High School. He spent most of his time in sales. Mel worked in the church directory business for fifteen years and most recently at Slumberland. Mel enjoyed woodworking, antiquing, and fishing with a very special group of friends.Mel is survived by his daughter, who loved him very much, Lindsay (Tyler Mulholland) Binder, Rochester, MN, and his mother Dorothy Binder, Wabasha, MN. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father Walter.A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Bethany United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home and one hour before the service at the church.
