Eleanor Owens, 80, of Rochester, died Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Golden Living Center in St. Charles, MN.She was born in New Jersey and after her own education she devoted her life to educating fourth and fifth grade children. She taught elementary school in New Jersey, Texas and Saudi Arabia. She greatly valued knowledge and skill development and strived to teach that to her students. She is survived by her sister Betty Dobyns, her husband Jim and her nephews, Cindy Achimov, David Dobyns, Bill Dobyns, Jim Owens and Rick Dobyns.She was preceded in death by her father John, mother Eleanor and her older brother Jack.A private family service will be held at a later date.
