Thomas Leslie "Burger" Harwick, age 52, of Stewartville, passed away February 25, 2011 at Rochester Methodist Hospital after a brief illness.Born June 28, 1958 in Rochester, MN to Leslie and Helen (Batzel) Harwick. Tom enjoyed fishing, camping, music, spending time at the river, and being with family and friends. He worked as a chef for several years working at Holiday Inn South in Rochester, Ponderosa Supper Club in Mazeppa, and Waterman's in Lake City.Surviving are his parents of Rochester; one sister, Nancy (Michael) Knutson of Rochester; one brother, Brian Harwick (Barb Sperry) of Lake City; two nieces and one nephew; a special friend, Terry Helton of Rock Dell; and his longtime best friend, his beloved dog, "Purdy". A private family memorial service is planned.
