James Otto Kositzke
June 17, 1931 - March 11, 2011

ROCHESTER - James "Jim" O. Kositzke, 79, died on Friday, March 11, 2011 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. Jim was born in Appleton, WI on June 17, 1931 to Otto and Hilda (Greunke) Kositzke. He graduated from Appleton High School and UW-Madison with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. Jim worked as a CPA for Kimberly-Clark for 30 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Jim married Muriel Haase on July 16, 1955 in Appleton. He enjoyed reading and was an active member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, serving as their Treasurer. Jim loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be fondly remembered for always being there with a cheerful word. Jim is survived by his wife of 55 years, Muriel; two children, Michael (Carrie) Kositzke, of Yuma, AZ, and Julie (Mark) Stevens, of Rochester; and two grandchildren, Sarah and Ben Stevens.Jim is preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Matthew.A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 1212 12th Ave. NW, with Rev. Dr. Charles Ortloff officiating. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at a later date at Appleton Highland Memorial Park in Appleton, WI.
