November 6, 1920 - March 26, 2011

Rochester- Memorial Services for Doris Byboth, 90 who passed away Saturday evening, March 26th, 2011, in Rochester, will be held at the Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday April 2, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. With Rev. William Hoffmann of the Community Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in the Rushford Cemetery in Rushford, Mn. At a later date. Visitation at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home will be on Friday evening, April 1st from 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. And then on Saturday from 12 noon until the time of service. Memorials are requested to the Community Presbyterian Church, 3705 55 St. N.W. or the Reflections Unit at Shorewood Senior Campus, 2115 2nd St. S.W. Rochester.Doris Vigness was born in Highland, MN. She grew up and graduated from Rushford High School. She married Karl Byboth August 1, 1943. Karl served in the military during WWII. Doris went to Washington D.C. during this time and was a fingerprint analyst for the F.B.I. After the war she and her husband moved back to Rushford where her husband went into the home building business with his father. Eventually they moved to Rochester where her husband worked in the Sheet metal business. Doris worked for number of years for the Mayo Clinic until her daughter was born. Doris was a charter member of Community Presbyterian Church, a Girl Scout leader, an Election Judge, a member of the Methodist Hospital Auxiliary, a Pink Lady and a volunteer driver for the welfare department. She enjoyed Swimming, Flower Gardening, Golf, and going to the Shack for Fishing Opener at Whitewater with her husband,"Bunk". Her husband died in November 1998. Doris is survived by her daughter; Lori Bachman (Paul) of Rochester, MN. Grandchildren; Kellen and Kendrick Bachman, both of Rochester and two Sisters; Jan Wieler of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Emma Simmons of Altemonte Springs, Fla. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.
