Rochester- Funeral Services for Allen L. Larson, 92, will be held at Bethel Lutheran Church on Friday, May 20th 2011 at 11:00 A.M. With Rev. Dr. Norman W. Wahl officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Thursday evening at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M.-8:00P.M., with an Elks Memorial Service at 7:00P.M., And visitation on Friday at the Church from 10:00A.M.-11:00 A.M. Memorials are requested to Bethel Lutheran Church or the Rochester Elks Lodge.

Allen, longtime owner of the Trade Mart, passed away Monday, May 16th at the Charter House where he had resided since 2001.

Allen was born near Florence, Minnesota on his family's farm. He attended Morris Agricultural School and graduated from Tyler High School in 1938. In 1944 he married Jean Walker and they farmed for 2 years near Tyler. He and his wife moved to Rochester and he joined his father in law, Bill Walker in the Walker-Larson Hardware business. On April 1, 1961 he bought the Trade Mart. He celebrated 50 years in business this year. Al was a Life Member of the Elks Club, a member of Score and Bethel Lutheran Church. He enjoyed playing cards, going hunting and fishing, dancing, and playing pool.

He is survived by Daughters; Mary J. Kuehn (Wayne) of Rochester. MN. Shirley A. Klampe of Rochester, MN. Diane K. Petit (Patrick) of Plainview, MN. And a Son; Robert A. Larson of Byron, MN. 7 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren and Sisters; Norma Neilsen of Rapid City S.D. And Wanda Nordmeyer (Eldon) of Lake Benton, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 1 Brother, 2 sisters, a great grand-daughter and a Son -in -Law.
