ROCHESTER:Tatiana V. OConnor, 60, of Rochester, MN, died on Monday, May 30th 2011. Following a lengthy battle with cancer she passed away at home surrounded by her family and friends.
Tatiana OConnor was born June 15, 1950 in Zhukovsky, Moscow Region.She was raised in Grozny, Russia and graduated from high school #25. She attended Grozny Oil Institute and graduated with a bachelors degree in accounting and economics. Tatianas son had a rare heart condition and in early 1990s she moved to Rochester, Mn in order to receive proper care for her son at the Mayo Clinic.In 1993 Tatiana married Tom OConnor from Preston, Mn. Tatiana enjoyed gardening and staying busy with house renovation projects. She also enjoyed spending time with her husband, brother, granddaughter, nephews and many friends.Tatiana was a loving and carrying person who was helpful to many people in the Russian community. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Tatiana is survived by her husband, Tom OConnor; grandchildren, Anna; brother, Aleksander Borkovskiy; half sister, Tamara; and many nephews and 1 niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents; mother, Nina Borkovskaya; father, Vladimir Borkovskiy; and son, Boris Lopatin.
Funeral service will be on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Anargyroi Greek Orthodox Church (703 West Center Street in Rochester).Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes.Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery.
