ROCHESTER, MINN: Doris J. Lynn, 88, of Rochester, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Samaritan Bethany Home on Eighth.
Doris was born March 15, 1923 in Rochester, MN to George and Ruth (Renwick) Russell. Doris married Robert Lynn on May 4, 1939. They made their home in Rochester and raised their children, Ronald, Susan and Andrea. Doris worked for many years alongside her husband, Robert, as owners in the restaurant business. Doris enjoyed knitting, reading and was quite the seamstress. Her main love in life was her family, which she chose over a professional singing career.
Doris is survived by her daughters, Susan (Randy) Dale of Plantation, FL., Andrea (Steven) Woda of Morriston, FL.; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great, great-grandchildren. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ruth; husband, Robert; son, Ronald, and her sister, Bette.
Doris will be missed by her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held 2:00pm Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until time of service. The Rev. Paul Bauch will be officiating. Inurnment will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, Rochester.
