Rochester- Funeral Services for Marcia K. Bennett, 70who passed away on Sunday, June 5th 2011 at St Marys Hospital following a briefillness, will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 9th, 2011 at Homestead United Methodist Church.Officiating will be Rev. Becky Jo Thilges assisted by Rev. Jane Day.Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. To 8:00 P.M. Wednesday evening at Ranfranz and Vine FuneralHomes and then at the Church on Thursday 1 hour prior to the service. Memorials are requested to Homestead United Methodist Church.
Marcia was born in Rochester, Mn. June 29th 1940 to Roy and Ethel (Wilder) Lovejoy.She attended RochesterHigh School and married Roger D. Bennett, July 3, 1958 in Rochester. Roger worked for the City of Rochester.Marcia worked for many years at Michaels Restaurant. Marcia was a member of Homestead United Methodist Church.She enjoyed reading and doing needlework.
Survivors include her husband, Roger; sons, Daniel Bennett (Sherry) of Rochester, MN and Stephen Bennett (Mary) of Mazeppa, MN; daughter, Patricia DeSart (Jay) of Spanish Fork, Utah; grandchildren, Christopher, Catherine, Preston, Benjamin, and Nicholas; one great grandchild, Natalia; one sister; Sandra Carlson (Larry) of Byron, MN; and one brother, David Lovejoy (Judy) of Rochester, MN.She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Joshua.
