Rochester- Funeral Services for Mr. Frank A. Able, 89 will be held at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home On Thursday June 9th at 11:00A. M. with Rev. Kevin White officiating.Burial and a second service will be held in Auburn Nebraska on Saturday June 11, 2011.Memorials are requested to the Mayo Clinic for Cardiovascular Disease Research. Frank passed away at Seasons Hospice, June 7, 2011, surrounded by family where he resided the last 2 weeks.He made his home with his daughter for the last 16 1'/2 years.
Frank Adron Able was born September 23, 1921 to John W. and Olive L.(Tobler) Able in Peru, Nebraska.He livedin Peru through the 9th grade at which time he moved to Auburn Nebraska..He enlisted in the U.S. Military and served from 1942to 1945 during WWII.On June 23, 1946 he married Anita Humphrey in Auburn,Nebraska.Frank workedfor Great Lakes Pipeline Company before pursuing his dream of selling cars.His career began as a salesman for Pohlman Motor Co. in Auburn where they lived there until moving to Boise, Idaho in 1981, where Frank worked in Auto Sales for Bob Rice Ford. He retired in 1986. Frank and his wife moved to Rochester, Minnesota in 1993 .Anita died January 18, 1995. Frank was a member of the Masonic Lodge, and Hope Summit Christian Church
Frank is survived by a daughter; ShellyHansen(Robert) of Rochester, MN. A son; AlanAble (Cindy)of Auburn,Nebraska 5 Grandchildren; Michelle Brodin(Brandon), Travis Wolf (Jennifer) Jesse Able (Seairla) and Brooke Able and Seth Hansen and 3 Great Grandchildren Cole and Gabriel Brodin and Jude Able.
Two Sisters; Lucille Schaefer of Auburn Nebraska and Betty Tankersley of Toledo, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife 3 Brothers and 3 Sisters.
