ROCHESTER:Bernadine Betty Marie Betcher age 89 a longtime Rochester resident passed away December 3, 2011 in Auburn, California.
Born September 23, 1922 in Olmsted County, MN to Ross Roy & Meryl Florence (Harrington) Bernard.Bernadine graduated from Stewartville High School in 1939 and Winona State Teachers College in 1941.She married Melvin H. Betcher on March 1, 1946 in Rochester and he preceded her in death June 11, 2010.Mrs. Betcher retired from Mayo Clinic in 1978 where she worked for several years.She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Julene Betcher of Las Vegas, NV; and one son, Curtis (Kimberly) Betcher of Auburn, CA; and two grandchildren, Steven and Samantha Betcher.She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother, Fahy Bernard; and two sisters, Lorraine Kuehntopp and Lornice Amos.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, December 12, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church 222 6th Ave SW Rochester, MN with visitation one hour before the service at the church.Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.Memorials appreciated to Donor's Favorite Charity of Choice.
