October 28, 1962 - December 16, 2011

Judy Lyn Livingston age 49 of Rochester passed away December 16, 2011.Born October 28, 1962 in Rochester, MN the daughter of Thomas & Nadine (Prescher) Zabel.Judy graduated from Plainview High School where she was extremely active in 4H all during her school years.She went onto Rochester Community and Technical College where she received her CNA degree and then worked for Samaritan Bethany Nursing Home in Rochester.She had to quit work due to health reasons and later became a kidney and pancreas transplant recipient.She loved working as a CNA and was always concerned with others even when struggling with her own health issues she managed to focus on what she could do for others.She and her husband became involved in the Olmsted County Foster Parenting Program and on Christmas Eve one year they were blessed with an emergency placement of a young boy, who they later adopted and he became the love her life and the best Christmas present she ever received.She enjoyed traveling especially the many trips she and her husband took to Branson, MO.On October 27, 1994 she married Paul Livingston and they have shared many wonderful times together.Judy attended Assembly of God Church and she loved to make afghans and tie blankets to give away.Surviving is her husband, Paul Livingston of Rochester, one son: Matthew Paul Livingston at home, her father: Thomas Zabel of Plainview, her maternal grandmother: Neva Prescher of Plainview, five sisters: her twin sister, Jody Zabel of Rochester, Penny Hoekstra (Jim), Cindy Eversman (Charlie), Kathy Zabel, and Patty Zabel-Duden all of Plainview.She was preceded in death by her mother, maternal grandfather, and paternal grandparents.Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Assembly of God Church 4240 18th Ave NW Rochester, MN.Burial will follow at 3 PM Wednesday at Corwith Cemetery in Corwith, Iowa.Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Tuesday at Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Homes and also one hour prior to services at church on Wednesday.Memorials in Judys memory are appreciated to the Ronald McDonald House.
