ROCHESTER, MINN: Frank W. Suhr, Jr., 90, passed away December 20, 2011 at Rochester Methodist Hospital.

Frank was born April 13, 1921 in Rochester, MN to Frank W. Sr. and Laura (Riege) Suhr. On December 29, 1945, Frank married Marjorie Wells in Rochester at Peace United Church of Christ. Frank was a lifetime member of Peace United Church of Christ and retired after 32 years from Telex. He was a veteran of WWII, proudly serving from 1942 to 1945 in the US Army.He enjoyed spending his time fishing, gardening and camping.

Frank is survived by his three daughters, Laureen (Thomas) Jones, Margie (Charles) Barrows, and Janeen (Thomas) Hoffman; one son, John Suhr; seven grandchildren, Donald, Karol, Sarah, Joshua, Michael, Shawn, Shane; eight great-grandchildren, Krystal, Kyle, Tower, Kacee, Gabrielle, Jakob, Joel, Katherine; 2 great, great-grandchildren, Zander, Landyn and one brother, Vernon Suhr. Frank was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marjorie; grandson, Matthew; two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, December 23, 2011 at Peace United Church of Christ, 15032nd Ave. NE in Rochester with the Rev. Paul Bauch officiating. Visitation will be held 5:00-8:00PM Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester and one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mayo Hospice (200 1st Avenue SW Rochester, MN55902), The American Cancer Society (411 2nd Street NW Rochester, MN55901, Peace United Church of Christ (1503 2nd Ave. NERochester, MN 55906) or to the charity of donor's choice.
