Warren R. Schreifels
June 8, 1964 - January 9, 2012

Warren Robert Schreifels age 47 of Rochester passed away January 9, 2012 in the emergency room at St Marys Hospital.He was diagnosed in October with stage IV esophageal cancer which had progressed to many parts of his body.With the help of his beloved wife Lisa, who took care of him at home, he fought valiantly until the night of his passing.
Born June 8, 1964 in St. Cloud, MN to Robert & Alice (Johnson) Schreifels.He attended ROCORI High School in Cold Spring, MN.He graduated in 1982 and entered the United States Marine Corps where he served a four year tour mostly stationed in Beaufort, South Carolina.After his discharge from the Marine Corps he attended Brown Institute and graduated with an Associates degree in Electronics Technology.He worked from 1989-99 for SOO Line Railroad, and then IBM in Rochester where he was presently employed. He enjoyed time spent with family and friends; traveling, fishing, boating and bowling.He always looked forward to hunting trips to Camp Ripley and Brainerd.His Beagle, Chase, gave him many hours of companionship, many laughs, and a few headaches.He married Lisa Flicek on May 22, 1992 and she survives.
Also surviving are his two children: Blake and Paige Schreifels both of Rochester, his paternal grandmother, Loretta Schreifels; his parents, Robert & Alice Schreifels of Cold Spring, MN; his brothers, Timothy Schreifels of Brainerd and Adam Schreifels of Minneapolis; his mother-in-law, Barbara Flicek of West Concord; and 2 sisters-in-laws, Kathy Tesch (Kevin) of Lake City and Nanci Nolan (Alex) of Dodge Center; and a brother-in-law, David Flicek (Deb) of Rock Dell.; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne; paternal grandfather, Bernard Ben Schreifels; and maternal grandparents, Ray & Isabelle Johnson; and his father-in-law, Tom Flicek.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM Friday, January 13, 2012 at Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Home.A luncheon and time of fellowship with the family will immediately follow the services at the funeral home.
