Mark Johnson wrote on Jan 15, 2012:

"I cannot tell you how sorry I was to hear of Mikes passing.  I met him when he was the business agent for the 49ers.  He was a client and a friend. I have to say I liked Mike from the first day that I met him.  He always had a kind word, great story or joke.  He was always someone you could bounce ideas off of and maybe get some of his wisdom. When he became Mel's partner building fishing rods I had many great days getting crap when I walked into the shop.  I think Mike touched many peoples lives this way.  He will be missed greatly.  I know that god called him way to soon, unfortuantly sometimes when life should go on longer gods answer is no. I know those words ring hollow.  I pray that you and your family come though this hard time and can think of all of the good times that Mike gave not only you, but others as well.   Warmest Regards, Mark Johnson"
