Donna Jeannette Brackenbury age 91 of Rochester passed away Saturday January 14, 2012 in Golden Living East Healthcare Center.
Born April 10, 1920 in St. Charles, MN the daughter of Charles & Emma (Fenske) Ihrke.She attended Nursing School at the Kahler in Rochester and received her Register Nursing degree.She went to work for the Rochester Methodist Hospital and then later the Samaritan Bethany Nursing Home where she retired from after several years.She also helped her husband in his business, Eddies Towing for many years.She was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran church and was involved in various activities with the church.On June 23, 1948 she married Edward Brackenbury and he survives.
Also surviving is a son: Joel Brackenbury (Cynde) of Boca Raton, FL, Two granddaughters: Channa Fisher (Curtis) and Mychelle Brackenbury and one great granddaughter: Caileigh Fisher.
Memorial services will be held 10 AM Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Heidorn officiating.A luncheon and time of fellowship will follow the service at the funeral home.Private family burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery.Memorials appreciated to the American Diabetes Association or Grace Lutheran Church.
