Mary O. Sikkink
Passed away surrounded by family and friends on January 14th 2012 in Phoenix Arizona after a short courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born April 28th 1941 in Austin MN to Harlan and Geneva (Grimley) Jacobson. Mary graduatedfrom Le Roy - Ostrander high school in 1959, and moved to Rochester to work forWaters-Conley corporation. On June 1st 1963 she married Nathan Sikkink. In 1980 Mary and good friend Marcy Jensen started Decorators II wallpapering service, which remains in business today.
Mary loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mary also enjoyed playing cards, and cherished her time with her friends at their winter home in Arizona.
Survived by her husband of 48 years, Nathan, daughter Julie (Tom) Claymon of Rochester, son Michael (Mari) Sikkink of Eden Prairie MN, and grandchildren Morgan, William, Cole Claymon, Samuel and Zackary Sikkink, sister Jeanne (Herman) Miller of Ostrander MN, brother David (Judy) Jacobson of Cresco IA. Friends and family are invited to the Memorial Services at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday January 21st at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church 1212 12th Avenue NW Rochester, MN 55901 There will be a one hour visitation at the church prior to the service.
