ROCHESTER -Allan Al T. Peterson, 65, died on Sunday, Janaury 15, 2012 at Golden Living Center West in Rochester.
Al was born in Spring Grove, MN on June 29, 1946 to John and Ruda (Tufte) Peterson. He graduated from Spring Grove High School.He married Pat Barnes and they later divorced.Al worked many years for Family Dairies in Madison, WI.He was currently employed by LeSueur Cheese.Al married Mary Curran on October 13, 1990 in Stewartville.He enjoyed woodworking and was a collector of many things.
Al is survived by his wife Mary; four children, Cindy Peterson-Korkowski, of Prior Lake, MN, Christina (Tracy) Waters, of Belfrey, MT, Eric (Anne) Peterson, of Lincoln, NE, and Emily Peterson-Holt, of Mabel, MN; two step children, Christine Curran (partner, Joyce), of Bloomington, MN, and Scott (Jen) Curran, of Rochester; 12 grandchildren, Nick Tilleraas, Luke Korkowski, Brianne Massman, Alicia Waters, Matt Korkowski, Gabe Erickson, Isaiah Peterson, Carter Nisbit, Michael Curran, Kayla Curran, Alexa Peterson, and Alayna Curran; and one great grandchild, Leila Dahl-Korkowski.
Al is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 5455 50th Ave. NW, with Fr. Don Schmitz officiating.Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home and an hour prior to the service at the church.Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
