Rochester- Cora Norstrom died Saturday, April 7, 2012 in Rochester, MN.Funeral Services for Cora G. Norstrom, 94 will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 10,2012 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church with Rev. Karna Hagen officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesdayat the Church from 11:00A.M. until the time of Service.Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.Memorials are requested toGloria Dei Lutheran Church, Seasons Hospice or Arbor Terrace Memory Assisted Living Center.

Corawas born on May 11, 1917 at Murdock, Mn. to Adolph and Anna (Gandrude) Rudningen.
She attended St. Cloud State Teachers College and majored in elementary education and administration. Following graduation she taught and was a Principle in Lake City, MN., and then Mora, Mn.She and her husband came to Rochester in 1948 where for a number of years, she substitute taught in the Rochester School System.

She married Lawrence Willard Norstrom in Sunberg, Mn. June 5, 1948. Mr. Norstrom worked as an Architect and draftsman at Rundell Lumber Company and then at the Kruse Lumber Company until retiring..He died November 30, 1986.
Cora enjoyed traveling, Reading, Flowers and Word Search.She was a member of the Sons of Norway, RARE, Past President ofSt Mary's Auxiliary,and a Charter Member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church where she was active in Ladies Circle.

Cora is survived by a daughter; LeAnn Batterson (Michael) of Rochester, MN. And 2 Grandchildren, Sara Batterson and Christopher Batterson, both of Rochester.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother.
