Hazel E. A. Oldenburg
December 26, 1916 - April 8, 2012

A Celebration of Life for Hazel E.A. Oldenburg, 95, of Rochester, MN, will be at 11:00am on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Reverend William Otte officiating.Burial will be at Wilson Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, rural Winona, MN.Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00pm on Friday, April 13, 2012 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes with a Prayer Service at 7:45 pm.Visitation will alsobe one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Hazel Emma Anne Oldenburg was born on December 26, 1916 in Wilson, MN to William and Mathilda (Bergmann) Oldenburg.Her Lord called her home on Easter Sunday,April 8, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital.

Hazel lived in Winona, Kellogg and on a farm near Kellogg, MN.She later moved to a farm near Rochester in the early 1930's.She moved to Rochester in 1938 and worked for the Mayo Clinic for 35 years.She worked as a supervisor in General Service, and then with the Business Office at Desk E-1. Hazel enjoyed flowers and gardening, traveling, fishing, and playing the piano.Hazel loved animals, especially her dog Tiny and other dogs and enjoyed family visits.Hazel was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church.She sung in the choir and was a member of the Women of Trinity.After she retired, she volunteered at the church office in many different capacities.

Survivors include her nieces and nephews, William (Carla) Oldenburg of Owatonna, MN, Diane Fischer of Rochester, MN, Elaine Oldenburg of Rochester, MN, Gary (Pam) Oldenburg of Rochester, MN, Rita (Father Mike) Molloy of Henderson, NV, Glenn (Pat) Oldenburg of Clitheral, MN and Jeffrey (Esther) Oldenburg of Jackson, MN and many great nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
