"I worked with Wayne at Allendale House for 3 years. He was my buddy! He changed the way I look at life and made me appreciate the things most of us take for granted, like the ability to speak. We had a special bond and were able to understand each other. He let me know when he was happy by letting out his most adorable giggles and when he was not happy he would let us know it was Daddy's house. We played basketball and went out for coffee often. I remember I changed my hair style and I was still a little sensitive to criticism as I was unsure if I liked it. I asked Wayne if he liked my hair, he looked at me and said "NO, NO MORE" - then giggled. The only thing I could do was laugh. I appreciated his honesty and even though he could not speak many words, I still heard his voice. I will definitely miss Wayne and his family is in my thoughts and prayers.."

"I worked with Wayne for almost five years at the Park Hill home with Bear Creek Services. He was such a light in so many people's lives, mine included. His laugh warmed my heart, as well as his big smile and always sitting in his chair with his ball. He will be greatly missed, and he made a great impact on my life in so many ways. My condolences go out to to his family and all of the staff that had the pleasure of working with him. Rest in peace, Wayne."
