Madison-Sean Michael Allen of Madison passed away unexpectedly at home, entering into the presence of his Savior on September 2, 2017. Sean was born on September 28, 1988, in Madison, the son of Randy W. Allen and Mary B. Allen (Pohlkamp). Sean was the proud and loving father of Sean Michael Wayne Allen, Jr., age 8.
A 2007 graduate of Sun Prairie High School, Sean loved a lot of things, he loved his family, especially his brothers. He loved helping others, he loved making people laugh and had a contagious smile. He loved playing baseball with his cousins and uncle, going to the park and playing football with his extended family on holidays, and he loved watching sports. He loved family gatherings at his aunt and uncle's lake house, playing roof ball and fishing with his son. He loved spending time with his dog Addie - but most of all, he loved being a dad to his son Sean Jr. They did simple things together, like growing tomatoes and peppers, spending time with Junior's uncles and playing catch in the back yard.
Sean is survived by his son, Sean, Jr., his former wife and mother of his child, Barbara Rudd Allen of Marshall; his mother, Mary B. Allen of Madison; father, Randy of Lake Mills; brothers Trevor, James, Randy, Jr. (RJ), and Jacob, all of Madison, grandfather, Francis W. Pohlkamp, Sr., aunts and uncles Julie Pohlkamp of Middleton, Christine Biser (John) of Waunakee, Colleen Peckham of Madison, Kevin (Nan Jean) Pohlkamp of Windsor, Mark (Sue) Pohlkamp of Junction City, Daniel (Patti) Pohlkamp of Portage, Joanne (Buddy) Sigmon of Middleton, Francis (Julia) Pohlkamp, Jr. of Middleton, Brian Smith of Evansville; and 40 cousins. Grandmother Phyllis Jeanne Allen of Rockford, IL, Aunt Linda (Don) Elliott of Illinois, Steven (Meryl) Allen of Rockford, IL, Craig (Susan) Allen of Rockford, IL, Dawn L. Hawes, and Pamela Allen both of Rockford, IL, and many cousins.
Sean was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Mary A. Pohlkamp, aunt Rose Smith and cousins Kendra and Dakota Pohlkamp, his paternal grandfather Jene R. Allen, aunt RaeJean Hill, uncles Michael Allen, Daniel R. Allen, Christopher C. Allen, Jeffrey L. Allen.

A gathering will take place from 10:00 - 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 9, 2017, at the Cress Center, 6021 University Avenue, Madison, WI with a celebration of life service to follow at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the family.
