Denise Marie Kurup
June 4, 1971 - September 11, 2017

Denise Marie Kurup, age 46, passed away on September 11, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital in Federal Way, WA. She was born on June 4, 1971 in Cupertino, CA to Ruth Kraft and Donald Burwell. She was a loving and selfless wife of 27 years to Keith Kurup, and an incredibly caring and devoted mother to Allycen and Angela Kurup. Denise was a jack-of-all-trades, working throughout her life as a barista, a bartender, a server, a nurse, but first and foremost as a dedicated mother, wife, and friend. She was loved by all who came to know her for her charm, wit, humor, heart, and beauty. Denise lived life with the strongest outpouring of love and wisdom. She was an avid animal lover and rescuer, and an amazing self-taught chef. Services will be private; in lieu of flowers for a service, the family requests that donations be made on her behalf to the Humane Society of the United States at http://www.humanesociety.org/.

"I just can't believe this news is true. I was just gonna call you.???". You are my Bestfriend forever and I love you forever! I miss all our time together. Walking around the neighborhood ,going Valco Mall to walk around , hanging out at Round Table eating a large pepperoni pizza. I always took the toppings off first and you always laughed at me lol. All the concerts your Mom and brother Von would take us to. Just sitting outside waiting for the concert to be over to bring us him. Now that's love lol. You were always such a good friend. I always loved how proud you were of Your husband Keith and beautiful daughters Angie and Allycen. You were my blessing. I LOVE u Denise...????"

"Denise has always been dear to our family. I used to take care of her as a baby. She was the sweetest baby and grew into a beautiful woman. She's my baby sister's dear friend. You will be missed Denise. You are resting in heaven now."

"I can't say that I knew Denise herself very well, but her daughter, Allycen, is my oldest and closest friend. And in knowing Allycen so intimately, I feel as though I've seen the depths of Denise's heart. To have raised such a remarkable woman, Denise must have been extraordinary. She instilled within Allycen a fierce sense of justice and passion, showed the best example of how to persevere through life's challenges, and her monumental love resounds in the hearts of those closest to her. I know that Allycen always looked to her first and admires her more than anything, and I believe that Allycen, and her sister Angela, are Denise's greatest accomplishments. Denise, you are an angel and your vivacious presence, steadfast legacy, infectious laughter and relentless love will live on through your beautiful daughters. I promise to always be there for Allycen. Thank you for making the world a better place. All my love to Allycen, Angela and Keith. "
