Brad Watson, age 56, of Ames, Iowa died September 10, 2017, at his home in Ames, Iowa, presumably of a heart attack. A gathering of friends and family will be 5 - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 20, at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care, 414 Lincoln Way Ames, followed by a 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 21, funeral service, at Gilbert Lutheran Church in Gilbert.

Bradley Marc Watson was born May 17, 1961 in Ames, Iowa, the son of Robert and Lucille (Clouser) Watson. He graduated from Roland Story High School in 1979. He married Michele (Shelly) Williams on October 24, 1992, at Gilbert Lutheran Church, in Gilbert, Iowa. Brad was formerly employed at Van Wall, in the turf grass division. He then worked at Ruan (Concentric International), and later Toro (MTI Distributing). Brad was a true entrepreneur starting several different endeavors. Brad semi-retired in June, of 2017, to focus on those endeavors. Brad was an avid Hawkeye Fan, having season football tickets for several years. You would also find him watching the Green Bay Packers. Brad was a loving husband and father that enjoyed spending time with his family.

Brad is survived by his wife, Shelly Watson, his daughter, Natasha (Drew) and granddaughter Afton McKnight, daughters, Taylor Watson, Kaitlyn Watson, son Andrew Watson, his mother, Lucille Clouser Watson, sisters, Diane (Tom) Watson Laughlin, Cindy (Steve) Helgeson, brothers.
