Beryl Bisenius

Beryl Bisenius was born January 8, 1934, in Bancroft, Iowa, the daughter of Leo and Mabel (Wilhelmi) Elsbecker. She grew up in Bancroft where she attended school and in 1952 graduated from St. John's Catholic High School.
On June 16, 1953, Beryl was united in marriage to Clem Bisenius at St. John's Catholic Church in Bancroft, Iowa. After their marriage the couple moved to the Bisenius family farm where they have lived ever since.
Beryl raised her children, worked for the Directory Service and was a seamstress at the Buckle in Algona for 15 years. Presently Beryl was working at Merle Norman Cosmetic Studio in Algona. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking and gardening, but most of all she enjoyed her children and grandchildren and watching them in their various activities and sporting events. Beryl was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, the Rosary Society and the Catholic Daughters of America.
Beryl died on Saturday, October 25, 2003, at the Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona, Iowa, at the age of 69.
She is survived by her husband, Clem Bisenius of Whittemore, Iowa; children: Jim Bisenius and wife Amy of Sioux City, Iowa; Bob Bisenius and wife Darcy of Johnston, Iowa; Suzanne and husband Lyle Boeckholt of Titonka, Iowa; Lisa and husband Bob Kropp of New York, New York; Phil Bisenius and wife Mary of Des Moines, Iowa; Melanie Jarrett of Rancho Santa Margarita, California; Tom Bisenius and wife Kara of Crystal Lake, Illinois; Sarah and husband Rob McCormick of Warren, New Jersey, and 13 grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers and sisters: Eloise and Francis Rees of Stockton, Illinois; Chuck and Betty Elsbecker of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Phyllis and Ralph Simons of Algona; Gail and Jim Cowan of Algona; Cleo Elsbecker of Bancroft, Iowa; John "Jack" and Rosemary Elsbecker of Coppell, Texas; Linda and Bernie Veak of Essex, Iowa, and sister-in-law, Carol Elsbecker of Glendale, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Carol and her husband Everett Keith and brother, Jim Elsbecker.
