Curtis Illg

Curtis George Illg was born February 22, 1977, at Emmetsburg, Iowa, to George and Carolyn (Olson) Illg. Curtis graduated from Garrigan High School in 1995, and earned an Associate Degree from Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls. Curtis had worked at Ag Parts in Humboldt but was currently working for Carroll Implement in LuVerne, Iowa, as a salesman. Curtis had been a 10 year lymphoma cancer survivor and had celebrated last April.
Curtis was a fun loving individual, enjoying spending time with his family, especially his nephews, Daniel and Michael. Curtis loved to help on the farm and was always more concerned about other people than himself.
Curtis died on Saturday morning, February 3, 2007, at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital in Humboldt, Iowa, at the age of 29 as the result of a vehicle accident.
Survivors include his mother Carolyn Olson of Ft. Dodge, Iowa; father and step-mother, George and Marty Illg of Bode, Iowa; siblings, Val Illg of Tempe, Arizona; Elizabeth Illg of Scottsdale, Arizona; Brian Illg and wife Molly of Clare, Iowa and Jeff Illg of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Also surviving are maternal grandparents, Ralph and Donna Olson of Humboldt, Iowa, nephews, Daniel and Michael and well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Curtis was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents.
