"Dear Jon, Brad & Todd and families -- You have all been in our prayers since Judy's health problems and her death. She was like another daughter to me since I used to babysit her when she was little. She's always been close to my heart and today being the anniversary of her mother's death feel a great loss, too. Weather permitting, we'll be there for the service. Take care and God Bless you all. Love, Uncle Howard and Aunt Donna."
"Jon and family, Your beloved Judy was one of my Corwith, IA classmates. When you grow up closely with someone, you know their personality, their values, and even their families. Neil and I were fortunate to have very special times with Jon and Judy while we both lived in Des Moines during their early marriage. Over the years, we lost contact, but this past summer we were able to get together. What a joy to reconnect and see evident the same smile, the same enthusiasm for life, the same sense of humor, the same caring for others, even though she was going through such serious health problems. Her sudden death came as such a shock. We know God's presence gives us the strength to accept and bear the loss of loved ones, so we take comfort knowing his love will sustain your family. Our hearts are full of sorrow. We send our love to all of you. Love, Judy and Neil"
"As a habit I usually read the obit page of the Globe Gazette first....never expecting to see a notice for someone I knew so well. It really was heart stopping to see a notice for Judy's passing. She was a such a neat person. I remember her as one of my roommates from our single career days in Des Moines and later as a friend in a neighboring town when we lived in Garner. We extend our sympathy to you all and will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Jean (Formanek)Pederson"
"We were so sorry to hear of Judy's passing. You have been in our thoughts and prayers since. I know that Judy is no longer struggling for life but has left a hole in yours that will heal as time goes by. I'm sorry that we will not be able to join you at the visitation nor the Celebration of Judy's life, however, will be with you in spirit. Tom & Shirley Gutzeit"
"Brad, Todd, & Jon & families, My deepest sympathy for the loss of your mother/wife, I was truly sorry to hear of Judy's passing. I have fond memories of Judy's friendly "hello" and kind smile whenever our paths crossed. She will truly be missed; take comfort in knowing that she is with our Lord and Savior in heaven. May God comfort you in your loss during this Christmas season. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. With deepest regrets, Craig Rasmussen"
"Jon and family, I was sorry to hear about Judy. Many years ago, when you lived in Forest City, and the boys were very small, I sewed many projects for Judy. I found her one of the sweetest people that I had the opportunity to meet and sew for. I also believe one of the boys went to school with one of my daughters. Again, I am so sorry for your loss, but, I also know that she is not suffering now and is at peace. May God bless you all. "
"Dear Jon & family: As i saw Judy's picture come up on the screen there was that smile that would light up a room with kindness, warmth and elegance. I am so sorry for your loss. Anytime we lose someone we love, its "to soon". "

"Dear Jon, Todd, Brad and families, You have our heartfelt sympathies. We were so sad to hear of Judy's passing. Judy was such a special lady and brought smiles and joy to so many through out her life. Those of us lucky enough to have known her had our lives enriched by her in many wonderful ways. I know how much your hearts are all hurting from this because I lost my fist sibling on May 27th of this year. My 59 year old brother Mike passed so unexpectedly. Lean on one another and just know we are here to support you in any way we can. Your family has a special place in the hearts of the whole Hilmer family. Sincerely, Bob & Sharon "
