His family will greet friends on Wednesday from 5 to 8 PM at the Corwith Community Center and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.

Albert Louis "Skip" Fish Jr. was born November 15, 1945 in Algona, son of Albert and Vera (Fett) Fish. He graduated from Corwith Wesley High School in 1964 and then attended college for a short time. He was honored to serve his country in the United States Navy as his father did, serving during the Vietnam Conflict.

Skip was united in marriage to Laura Blunk on January 31, 1972 in Vermillion, South Dakota. He farmed and lived on the family farm he grew up on just outside of Corwith. Skip's passion was that farm. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and many friends. His strong sense of humor was revealed through repeating every joke he ever heard (recalling his favorites upon command) and he enjoyed telling stories of all kinds, particularly of his Navy days and Navy reunions. Skip also enjoyed camping, fishing, racing, traveling, and collecting numerous memorabilia (John Deere tractors, Dale Earnhardt miniatures, antique farm equipment, etc.). He was an especially accomplished "tinkerer," able to find a resourceful solution to make anything operational and functional. Many found him to be the best "go-to guy" when they needed something fixed.

Albert L. Fish Jr. died Sunday, October 10, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa, Mason City, at the age of 64.

He is survived by his wife Laura of Corwith; five children, Kris Nimmo and her husband Chad of Kansas City, Rich Fish and his wife Tami of Corwith, Jeana Thompson and her husband Rick of Corwith, Jolene Fish and her fiancé Darin Hein of Corwith, and Micki Fish of Corwith; and eight grandchildren, Ami McDermott, Devin Fish, Amanda Fish, Alex Fullerton, Joanna Fullerton, David Hein, Kena Hein, and Kadence Thompson. He is also survived by his mother, Vera Fish of Corwith; his sister and two brothers, Carol Niewald and husband Jack, Bryan Fish, and Brett Fish and his wife Lana, all of Corwith; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert; one brother, Ron Fish, and a grandson, Trevor Webb.
