John Patrick Connors, III
November 8, 1940 - October 23, 2017

John Patrick Connors III passed away October 23, 2017 at the Florida Medical Center Hospice unit at age 76, after a short battle with cancer. He passed away peacefully with his wife Dianne by his side.

John was born in November 1940 in Atlanta Georgia to John Jr. and Louise Connors. He grew up in Palm Beach, was a graduate from Palm Beach High School and Florida State University, Tallahassee with a degree in business.

In 1975 he joined FMI as their Director of the Hotel Management. In 1988, he oversaw the construction and opening of the La Cabana resort in Aruba.

John most recently was employed with developer Martin Margulies in managing his new condominium projects. He managed Grand Bay Tower I and Tower II on Key Biscayne, the Bellini in Bal Harbour and the Bellini on Williams Island. He also was General Manager at the Jockey Club III.

John will be remembered for his acts of kindness, his love of life and his incredible wit. He will be greatly missed by his wife, family, friends and colleagues and would want us all to remember, smile and laugh at all the good times shared.

John is survived by his wife Dianne Berndt-Connors and his niece Alexis (Bruce) Sitka of North Fort Myers. He was preceded in death by his sister Anne.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at the Saint Sebastian Church, 2000 Marietta (S.E. 25th) Avenue in Ft. Lauderdale at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 3rd, 2017.

A reception will follow at 3:00 pm at the Boatyard, 1555 SE 17th St Causeway.

You are one the only people that I know that when we joke around everyone around us would laugh to the point when we all tear in the eyes of laughter! Tears of JOY! Today the tears... were tears of missing you! I try not to cry the tears of sadness, because you would not want that! I will try to be positive and cry in the love of fun and friends!
